PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Families of children at Harry Kizirian Elementary School are invited to the school's first annual End of Summer Celebration.
Fun activities for children will include pony rides, face-painting, a bouncy house and the Roger Williams Park Zoomobile. School librarian Emily Brown will offer a Make and Take journal table and book giveaways and teacher Catherine Blish will offer a math table. The Providence Fire Department will bring their Smoke House to teach fire safety.
For parents, there will be a raffle for 15 free uniform shirts, a PTO membership table and information tables provided by Children's Friend and Service, the Children's Crusade, English for Action and the Ronald McDonald House.
The event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Father Lennon Park, 83 Camden Ave., Providence, next door to Harry Kizirian Elementary School.
