PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence police said that a crackdown on suspected drug dealing in Smith Hill Tuesday has turned up drugs, cash, and a gun.
Jonathan Martinez, 25, and Felix Ramos, 18, were both arrested after narcotics detectives searched the men's second-floor apartment at 30-32 Frederick St.
The police said they seized crack cocaine, heroin, $700 in cash, and a Glock .45 caliber semiautomatic pistol with two loaded magazines. It was the 88th gun that the Providence police have seized so far this year, said Maj. David Lapatin.
Ramos and Martinez were both charged with three counts of drug dealing. Ramos was also charged with possession of a firearm while committing a violent crime and conspiracy.
