PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- About 200 job seekers attended a manufacturing job fair held Wednesday at the Roger Williams Park Casino. Approximately 25 firms that are actively seeking employees were on hand to accept applications.
The job fair, organized by Workforce Solutions of Providence/Cranston, is the ninth in a series of 11 "Mayor's Job Fairs." The fair was hosted by Providence Mayor Angel Taveras and Cranston Mayor Allan Fung.
The previous eight fairs have included events focused on health care, construction, hospitality and tourism, education and information technology.
