PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Brown University faculty will hold a teach-in Monday afternoon on the crisis in Syria.
The event will be held in List Art Center, Room 120, at 5 p.m. and live streamed on the university's website. It is free and open to the public.
Participants will include:
- Beshara Doumani, director of the Middle East Studies Program and professor of history;
- Elias Muhanna, professor of comparative literature;
- Naoko Shibusawa, associate professor of history;
- Mayssun Succarie, Cogut postdoctoral fellow in international humanities and modern Arab culture and society
A vigil will be held at 6:45 on the College Green "for the people of Syria with the hope of building peace and understanding during this time of grave conflict."
