Police close streets in downtown Wickford as tide rises

With the Bay washing into the parking lot of the Kayak Centre, North Kingstown police shut down traffic entering downtown Wickford.

There is not much room beneath the Route 1A bridge and the nearby boats tied to the piers seemed poised to float into the parking lot at the Kayak Center.

The municipal parking lot behind the Rite Aid pharmacy in Wickford was nearly all under water before nightfall.
