PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Investigators from Massachusetts are searching the Woonasquatucket River near Providence Place mall for evidence related to a crime that took place several years ago, Major David Lapatin of the Providence police said Thursday.
Lapatin said Fall River and Massachusetts state police are involved.
No further information was immediately available.
