improvements started in July and is projected to be done by October 2014. According to the DOT, it includes resurfacing, curbing and sidewalks, landscaping, drainage, and traffic signal improvements. This is the third of three improvement contracts along Elmwood Avenue.
Slated to host the tour are state Sen. Juan Pichardo, Department of Transportation Director Michael P. Lewis and Rhode Island Public Transit Authority CEO Ray Studley. Scheduled to join the tour are Governor Chafee, U.S. Sens. Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse and U.S. Rep. David Cicilline.
