PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The people at St. Michael's parish will not serve a Thanksgiving Day dinner this year because of circumstances beyond their control. There will, however, be a Mass of Thanksgiving at 10 a.m., followed by a reception.
A dinner will be served at Praise Tabernacle Church, 330 Park Avenue in Cranston, from noon until 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, and bus transportation will be provided.
Anyone needing a ride should be at St. Michael's Church, 239 Oxford St., at 11 a.m., or at Crossroads, 160 Broad St., or in Kennedy Plaza, just after that. Dinner is open to everyone and is free.
People in Saint Michael's parish are asking for donations to fill the food pantry for the winter.
Any with questions can call (401) 781-7210 and ask for one of the pastoral team.
