PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Brown University student was critically injured in a fall from a window on the third floor of Andrews Hall, a dormitory on the Brown campus, just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday, a university spokeswoman said Wednesday.
The student is being treated at Rhode Island Hospital for multiple injuries, spokeswoman Marissa Quinn said, and was in critical but stable condition Wednesday.
Brown's Department of Public Safety and the Office of Student Life are reviewing the incident, said Quinn, who declined to provide details of the student's gender, age, hometown, or whether alchohol was involved.
"We immediately contacted the student's family and offered support," she said. "Our thoughts are certainly with the student and the student's family."
