Olivia Culpo, Miss USA and native Rhode Islander is all smiles after getting a bouquet of roses from Mayor Allan Fung of Cranston. The first Miss RI to wear the national crown, Culpo was honored in her hometown of Cranston in July with the key to city.
The reigning Miss USA, Cranston's Olivia Culpo, has tweeted that she will be in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
"Looking forward to riding in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade - excited to take part in the tradition," said her Tuesday evening tweet.
A check of news releases for the 86th marching of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade shows her listed between YouTube singing sensation Megan & Liz and the Muppets.
The parade is on TV from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 22, with a rebroadcast from 2 to 5 p.m.
On Dec. 19, Culpo will compete in the Miss Universe pageant, which will be broadcast live from Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
