Owner Jon Berberian upgraded the 86-year-old theater to conform to tougher fire safety rules enacted after the Station nightclub tragedy. His late father, Misak Berberian bought the theater in 1962.
Jon Berberian hopes that recent film festivals, opera productions and musicals will return to the stage now that he is open again. A second concert will take place Sunday at 7 p.m. For more information, go to columbustheatre.com.
