CRANSTON, R.I. -- Six National Guardsmen are scheduled to return home Wednesday after a 9-month deployment to Kuwait.
The six -- part of Detachment 23, Operation Support Aviation Command, RING-JFHQ -- will be flying in from Georgia, Guard Lt. Col. Peter Parente said.
During the nine-month deployment, the guardsmen used C-12 Huron airplanes to transport personnel and cargo.
The six are scheduled to arrive at 2 p.m. at the Quonset Air National Guard Base in North Kingstown.
