PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- An East Providence man who is charged with murdering his estranged girlfriend on Christmas Day 2010 is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in Superior Court.
Raymond A. Grundy, 37, is accused of stabbing and strangling Staria Lynn Silva inside her East Providence apartment. Silva's mother found her body, and her nine-month-old twins, who were unharmed.
Grundy is charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of criminal solicitation for allegedly trying to get somebody else to kill Silva.
