PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- There will be a tree lighting ceremony after all.
A day after Governor Chafee's spokeswoman said no ceremony would be held this year, the governor's office released a statement attributed to Hunsinger:
"Yesterday, in response to several inquiries, I mistakenly said that there would be no tree lighting ceremony. That information was incorrect and a result of a miscommunication among staff. There will be an official tree lighting ceremony at the State House with the Governor in attendance. The date and time of the event will be announced when the details are finalized."
