WARWICK, R.I. -- With winter weather already wreaking havoc elsewhere, airport officials at T.F. Green in Warwick are urging travelers to check with carriers for possible delays.
The FAA reports delays of about 15 minutes on arrival and departure at T.F. Green with delays averaging more than an hour on flights to and from Newark International in New Jersey, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International in Florida, John F. Kennedy International and La Guardia in New York and Philadelphia International.
Some flights to and from Detroit and Cleveland were canceled, said Peter A. Frazier, interim president of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. Further delays or cancellations, Frazier warned, "will be flight dependent." For example, a flight from Newark may be canceled, but not a direct flight from Florida.
