Traffic on Route 195 west into downtown Providence backs up Wednesday morning after an accident near exit 3 to Gano Street.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A traffic accident that has backed up traffic on Route 195 west has been cleared, the state Department of Transportation announced at about 8:04 a.m.
The accident, just before the Route 95 split, closed the two left lanes Wednesday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The accident happened around 7:44 a.m. near exits 2 and 3 to Route 44 and Providence's Fox Point neighborhood.
Information on the crash was not immediately available.
