PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Cities and towns in Rhode Island are continuing to hold flu vaccination clinics in what could turn out to be the worst flu season in years.

Public clinics are scheduled in Barrington and in Warwick at Veterans Memorial and Toll Gate high schools starting Wednesday afternoon. Clinics are being held in North Providence and West Warwick on Thursday and in Little Compton on Friday.

Health officials say everyone six months of age and older should be vaccinated. Public clinics provide the vaccination for free and no insurance is required.

Rhode Island Health Director Michael Fine has called this flu season particularly severe and says it's not too late to get vaccinated.
