WARWICK, R.I. -- The Rhode Island Airport Corporation on Wednesday afternoon hired a new president and chief executive, Kelly Fredericks, 52, of Boca Raton, Fla.
Fredericks, a civil engineer and private pilot, will be paid $255,000 a year to run T.F. Green Airport and five smaller state-owned airports.
He currently works for the Corradino Group in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., as program manager overseeing design and construction of a new terminal and an 8,000-foot runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
He begins at Green on April 8.
