PROVIDENCE, R.I. --The Who brought their "Quadrophenia" tour to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Tuesday night. The audience was a bit gray and the T-shirts went for $40.
The band, now Roger Daltrey and Peter Townshend and hired hands, performed a curiously flat and tired show, the last of a 37-date North American tour, with some of the best performances coming in decades-old clips flashed on a large video screen at the back of the stage. The last time they played in Providence was in 1975.
