WARWICK, R.I. -- At woman driver was injured when her car smashed into a wood utility pole in front of New England Tech at 2480 Post Rd. around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Lt. Michael Ford said in addition to snapping the pole, the crash knocked out traffic lights down to the Airport Connector and disrupted traffic on Post Road for nearly two hours. The woman was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Lights and traffic in both directions was restored around 8 p.m.
