PROVIDENCE - Governor Chafee has appointed Eva-Marie Mancuso and Patrick A. Guida chair and vice-chair, respectively, of the Rhode Island Board of Education.
Mancuso is Managing Partner of Hamel, Waxler, Allen & Collins. Before that, she served as assistant attorney general. Mancuso earned a bachelors degree from the University of Rhode Island (URI) and a law degreee from Suffolk University Law School.
Guida is a lawyer with Duffy & Sweeney, Ltd., He was elected to the Barrington School Committee in 1996 and began serving as its chairman in 1998. In 1999 he was elected to the executive committee of the Rhode Island Association of School Committees.
Guida was appointed to the Board of Regents in 2001 and elected vice-chair in 2005.
