PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Two positions on the board of the Rhode Island Public Transportation Authority came closer to being filled Friday when Governor Chafee nominated one man and renominated another.
Jerome F. Williams of Barrington, who has been senior vice president for finance and administration at Roger Williams University since 2009 and was director of the state departments of administration and transportation before that, was renominated to serve another term.
Peter T. Ginaitt of Warwick, emergency preparedness director for Lifespan Health since 2007 and a retired Warwick firefighter, EMT and registered nurse, was nominated to replace Thomas Deller.
Both nominations require the advice and consent of the R.I. Senate.
