PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Providence man is accused of shooting at his neighbor in an ongoing dispute Sunday evening.
Marc Dure, 19, was standing in his driveway at 1006 Branch Ave., in the city's Wanskuck neighborhood, when a neighbor known as "Jesus" approached and asked, "Yo, are you money?"
Dure said he wasn't, and "Jesus" shot at him, according to a police report.
What "Jesus" meant wasn't exactly clear. Dure's mother told police she thought their ongoing dispute had ended, but police found two 9 mm bullet casings at the scene.
Police drew a warrant Monday for Jesus Montez, 26, of 4 Caxton St., charging him with assault with a dangerous weapon, unlicensed possession of a firearm, and firing in a compact area, said Capt. Michael E. Correia.
