By Features staffPROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Tony Estrella, artistic director of Pawtucket's Gamm Theatre, and Dr. Joseph Chazan, a Providence art collector, are among three Rhode Islanders who will receive Trinity Rep's Pell Awards this year, Trinity announced Friday.
Shakespeare in the City founder Martha Douglas-Osmundson also will be honored, along with actress Kate Burton, who had previously been announced as Pell winner for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts, Trinity said in a news release.
The awards will be distributed June 10 at Trinity Rep, with a reception to follow across Empire Street at the Providence Public Library.
Individual tickets to the full event are $500; a limited number of individual tickets to the ceremony and post-show reception are $250, and corporate sponsorships are available. Call (401) 453-9237.
