PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Hundreds of computers, audio equipment and other items will be auctioned off Tuesday in Providence as the state tries to recoup some of the money it's owed by defunct company 38 Studios.
Sal Corio, of the S.J. Corio auction company showed off the goods Monday during an auction preview. The auction begins Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., with registration beforehand. The goods will be sold off in about 2,100 lots, with the auction extended to Wednesday, if necessary.
This will be the second auction of 38 Studios' goods. A third, mainly for the company's computer server equipment, will be held at a later day, Corio said.
"If I raise $75 million I've been promised a statue downtown," he said.
