PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Gas prices in Rhode Island jumped another 12 cents over the past week, according to AAA Southern New England.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now $3.809 at self-service pumps in the Ocean State, according to AAA's weekly survey.
A survey Friday by the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources found the price at $3.81.
The price here is now 20 cents higher than it was a month ago, 18 cents more than it was a year ago and 13 cents higher than the current national average, AAA says.
AAA's survey found an 18-cent range in prices, from a low of $3.739 to a high of $3.919.
