PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Rabbi Irwin Kula is the first religious speaker at a BIF conference, and when Kula got on the stage, one of his first comments was he wished it didn't say "rabbi."
"I'm just Irwin."
The eighth-generation rabbi said we need to innovate religion, and use technology.
"A teenager with a smart phone has more power to organize than a medieval king," he said.
Kula calls himself a disruptive religious innovator.
