ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP) -- The manager of an Attleboro sober house has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Michael Paterson was ordered held on $100,000 bail at a court appearance Monday. A not guilty plea was entered.
Police say they arrested the 51-year-old Paterson on Friday after a resident of the sober house saw him looking at what appeared to be child pornography on a television in his office and contacted police. Police seized three computers and as well as dozens of DVDs and CDs which they are examining. Police also found $71,000 cash and a stun gun in a safe in Paterson's office, as well as $2,000 cash in his car.
The Sun Chronicle reports that Paterson's attorney says his client relies on federal disability payments and lives frugally.
