PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- A convicted rapist is accused again of raping and beating a younger woman after a party Saturday.
Christopher Williams, 44, of Magill Street, got into an argument with a 22-year-old woman whom he knows -- and then he raped and assaulted her, said Pawtucket Police Maj. Arthur Martins.
The woman was treated at Women & Infants Hospital, and Williams was charged with first-degree sexual assault, domestic assault and disorderly conduct. He was ordered held without bail at an arraignment in District Court on Monday.
Williams, who was sentenced for rape in 1995, was out on probation for failing to register as a sex offender and gun possession charges.
The Journal does not identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault.
