WARWICK, R.I. -- A search committee has recommended a replacement for Kevin A. Dillon, who left as director of T.F. Green Airport in July to take a similar job at Connecticut's Bradley International Airport.
Meeting Friday for several hours behind closed doors, the search committee ranked all three candidates it had interviewed, naming one the preferred choice. The identities of the three finalists were not revealed.
The board of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation, the state agency that runs Green and five smaller state-owned airports, is expected to select Dillon's successor on Dec. 19, at which time the name will be revealed.
In the meantime, the board's chairwoman, Dr. Kathleen C. Hittner, will negotiate a contract with the top candidate.
